Instead I'll provide a link to the musical Starship.
It's got everything I like: Giant bug aliens, great characters, funny actors, puppets, pop culture references, goofy music, and enough cheesiness to make it all fun. This is the kind of stuff my ten year old self would kill to see. It's so much fun!
But be warned, it is 3 hours long.
